KANSAS CITY -- The Kansas City Royals open the 2006 campaign at home with a two-game series against the Detroit Tigers followed by a three-game set with the 2005 World Series champion Chicago White Sox. The home opener on Monday, April 3, will mark the first time the Royals have opened the season at home against Detroit since 1982. The Royals, who also face the Tigers on Wednesday, April 5, wrap up the homestand with a weekend series against the White Sox, April 7-9.
